Hospice Counseling

You, or your loved one is facing tough decisions and you are experiencing many intense emotions…I'm here to offer emotional and spiritual support to you or your loved one as you face end-of-life issues.

Are you experiencing anticipatory grief? This is when you exhibit grief reactions to a death that has not yet occurred. This is a normal reaction to loss and helps you to prepare for the emotional intensity of grief after the death occurs.

Anticipatory grief takes many forms, most often fears about the possible or actual loss. These may include fears of:
  • Living life without your loved one
  • Breakdown of family structure
  • A new beginning — taking a road not traveled
  • Losing your social life
  • Losing companionship
  • Losing independence
  • Losing control
