***GMCC Pregnancy & Infant Loss Group has Closed 2/18/25***
After many years of serving the community through our monthly support group, it is with a heavy heart that we have decided to close the group. I am incredibly proud of the support that the group has provided to countless bereaved parents since it's formation in 1989 by my co-leader, Ann Prescott, former Perinatal Bereavement Coordinator for Sentara Women's Health.
Several of our core members have expressed interest in carrying on the group in some capacity in the near future, and I will certainly share any information and updates on this page.

Peace by Piece
From September through May, Peace by Piece (Edmarc) offers caring support groups where children and teens who have experienced the death of a loved one can process their grief with others who understand.
Twice a month for as long as they need, children can play, talk, engage in activities, and interact with other peers who know what they are going through. This peer-to-peer support and interaction helps kids ease their sense of isolation and helps the slow but sure process of healing begin.
